If you have a passion for showing livestock and no fear of hard work, consider applying to become a KCLS Ambassador for our upcoming show in June! This opportunity is open to motivated individuals in high school and college who are experienced showmen. If you have a desire to share your time, energy, skills, and knowledge with our livestock community, WE WANT YOU! Work alongside our committee and gain valuable experience and insights as we organize and execute a highly competitive 2 ring, 4 species livestock show. Throughout this five-day fast paced event, you'll be expected to maintain a “can do” attitude and smile as we create lasting memories at the Kootenai Classic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and assist exhibitors with check in

• Professionally run livestock weigh ins

• Assist in daily show preparation: organize awards, distribute show books & set up announcer tables

• Provide efficient ring stewardship by directing exhibitors & their livestock in the ring, offering animal handling assistance, recording results, and presenting awards

• Run class announcements via texting app to maintain the flow of the show

• Assist the Junior Advisory Board and Show Committee as needed

• Answer questions for exhibitors, show families, and spectators

• Positively promote the KCLS while making everyone feel welcome

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previously exhibited livestock at 5 or more shows

• Effectively communicate with others and maintain a positive attitude

• Cooperate with other Ambassadors to work as a team

• Maintain your focus for long periods of time

• Physical stamina, long periods of standing

• Be conscious of time constraints and logistics
